Shine My Ride 757 offers it as a standalone service and inside our Gold and Platinum packages. Text (757) 689-9821 for a quote.

Not sure which? We inspect your paint first and recommend the right level. Scratches that go through the clear coat can't be polished out safely, and we'll tell you up front.
Why does Hampton Roads paint need correction?
Salt air, summer sun, pollen and automatic car washes leave swirls and dull spots, especially on dark paint. Correction resets the finish before you protect it. Then lock in the finish with System X ceramic coating or paint protection film, and add window tint.
Where do you offer paint correction?
We're mobile, so we come to you in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and the rest of Hampton Roads, including Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News.
Paint correction FAQs
What is paint correction?
Paint correction is machine polishing that removes a thin layer of clear coat to level out swirl marks, light scratches, water spots and haze, so the paint reflects light cleanly again.
What is the difference between 1-step and 2-step paint correction?
A 1-step correction is a single polishing stage that improves gloss and removes lighter swirls. A 2-step correction adds a cutting stage before the polish to take out deeper defects, then refines the finish.
Is paint correction included in your detailing packages?
Yes. Our Gold package includes a 1-step paint correction and our Platinum package includes a 2-step correction. You can also book paint correction on its own.
Can every scratch be removed?
No. Scratches that go through the clear coat cannot be polished out safely. We inspect your paint first and tell you what correction can and can't improve.
How much does paint correction cost in Hampton Roads?
1-Step correction is $450–$600 and 2-Step is $800–$1,050, by vehicle size. 3-Step starts at $1,250, and supercars are priced by quote. Adding a 2-step correction to a ceramic coating is $550.
