Information we collect

  • Forms and messages. When you fill out a quote or contact form, or text, call or email us, we collect what you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, boat or aircraft details (for example year, make, model or tail number), service address or airport, photos you send, and your message.
  • Your consent choices. Whether you agreed to receive text messages and/or emails from us, and when.
  • Bookings and payments. Appointments and deposits are handled by Square. Square collects your booking details and payment card information. We receive your name, contact details, appointment details and payment status; we do not receive or store your full card number. Square's own privacy policy applies to the information it processes.
  • Website usage. Our website runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and provide visitor analytics (such as pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location). We may also use Google Analytics for the same purpose. You can control cookies through your browser settings and the site's cookie banner where shown.

How we use information

  • To respond to your requests, prepare quotes and schedule and perform services.
  • To take deposits and payments and keep business records.
  • To send appointment confirmations, reminders, updates and service follow-ups.
  • To send promotional texts or emails, only if you opted in to them.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and protect against fraud.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messaging (SMS) privacy

If you opt in to receive text messages from Shine My Ride 757, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our messaging platform), solely to provide the service. When we share information

We share information only as needed to run our business: with service providers such as Square (bookings and payments), Squarespace (website and forms), Google (email and analytics) and our messaging provider; when required by law; or to protect our rights and safety. These providers may use the information only to provide their services to us, subject to their own privacy terms.

How long we keep information

We keep quote, booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide services and meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, generally up to seven years for financial records. Quote requests that never become a job are kept for up to two years. Records of your text-message consent and opt-outs are kept as long as needed to honor your choices and show compliance.

Your choices and rights

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop texts; use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by calling or emailing us. We will respond within 45 days. We may keep information we are legally required to keep.
  • Virginia residents may have additional rights under Virginia law; contact us to make a request.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are processed by Square. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
